New Beginnings in the New Year

My partner in crime, Kristin!

An update for my friends. Can I share with you a new adventure I am about to embark on? I can tell you this, not only am I excited but I am also very filled with pure joy. A little over a week ago I walked away from working at Keller Williams. The following week (last week) God provided two amazing job opportunities. Two very different job opportunities. One wearing high heels and pencil skirts, the other an apron. One in the Pearl District, the other in Tigard. One climbing the corporate ladder, the other doing ministry. One working as a leasing manager, the other a manager of a coffee shop. If I am being honest with you, I would say that this was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. But when I stepped back from the stress of making a decision, I could focus on the pure blessing it was to have been offered not one, but two jobs in one week. To leave a job for unemployment was scary, but I stepped out in faith knowing God would provide. Oh my gosh does He love us. He cares so much, and takes care of us when we ask, seek and knock. I decided to say yes to the aprons, the building of relationships, the brewing of coffee and the excitement of helping build this atmosphere from the beginning. I am honored to get to help, and to lead and to pray over the other baristas and especially those who simply come to enjoy a cup of coffee but do not realize that so much more is going on. That cup of coffee they are sipping on is merely a symbol for God's love as they sit in a warm, inviting, loving and generous atmosphere. And that is why I decided to move forward with the coffee shop. I want to serve, I want to bless, I want to pray for and love the people that enter that building. So then can I ask you; Will you come? Will you come experience this atmosphere for yourself and tell others about it? We are hoping to have our Grand Opening in January, but until then I will be serving free coffee (drip) and pastries all this week Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 2:00 pm at the store location to build hype and to invite people in. Please message me for the address if you are interested! I appreciate those who prayed for me not only in the past week but in the past year as I have been spending time figuring out what it is I want to do. I have peace in my heart and mind as I move forward with this. Incredibly blessed by the people I get to work with and for. Oh and did I mention it is a non-profit coffee shop?! All the proceeds will be donated to ministries and families in need. Hope to see you all this week!

P.S 9 days until Christmas. Come get a free cup of joe before you head to the mall to shop or come relax after a morning spent wrapping presents :)

Love and New Beginnings!
